Meals on Wheels Brevard is a North Carolina community-based nonprofit dedicated to delivering nutritious meals and human connection to neighbors who need support. Meals are prepared at Transylvania Regional Hospital under the guidance of a registered dietitian and delivered by volunteers who build trusted, weekly relationships with the people they serve.

Our work is rooted in dignity, compassion, and the belief that food—and connection—can change lives.

Route F Mondays

- What We Do Matters

Our service to the community could not be met without dedicated volunteers. We have more than 80 volunteer drivers making deliveries every weekday morning. Each driver delivers meals on the same day each week on the same route, which allows for regular contact and a relationship that can be as valuable to our clients as the meals themselves.

    Nutritious Meals

    Meals are prepared at Transylvania Regional Hospital and meet dietary standards for cardiac and diabetic nutrition, providing one-third of daily nutritional needs.

    Consistent, Caring Delivery

    Volunteer drivers deliver meals on the same route each week, creating trusted relationships and regular wellness check-ins.

    Accessible Support

    Fees are arranged on a sliding scale, and no one is disqualified from receiving meals due to inability to pay.
